Beautiful Opalised Fossilised Pippi Shell 110 Million Year Specimen Gem 14.6 cts. This beautiful fully opalised fossil was found out at Lightning Ridge, NSW.

It is a perfect example of an opal pippi shell fossil, which make amazing specimens, aged over 110 million years old! It has been polished to one side bringing out a blaze of gem quality opal colour. The other side has been left natural and unpolished revealing all the organic structures of the original shell. This amazing specimen has the following colours present, turquoise / blue, lush grassy greens with gold and pink under tones. This is a fantastic opal specimen and has the best of both worlds, it is very vivid in colour and striking to look at as well as remaining authentic as a natural fossil.
